Every decision happens in the renderings
We design every project in Chief Architect and render it in Twinmotion. Before demolition, you have 2D floor plans, 3D renderings, elevations, and electrical layouts of the finished room.

Working them out in the renderings means you approve a kitchen you have already seen, and the build phase becomes execution rather than a series of judgment calls.

Around Cushing Memorial Park and the older streets near the downtown, the housing runs older and the kitchens are small and walled in. Opening them up frequently involves a load-bearing wall, and we design the beam and the finished ceiling detail in from the start.
The newer construction spreading toward Clock Tower Park and the lakes has the opposite issue. There is plenty of square footage and it is badly divided, with the cooking space cut off from the room where everyone gathers. Reworking those plans is less about adding space than about removing the walls and features that waste what is already there.

Our History in Delafield
Delafield has one of the older downtowns in Waukesha County, and the housing around it reflects a long build-out rather than a single boom. Homes near Cushing Memorial Park and the original village streets date back well over a century in places, with the additions and updates of several generations layered on top of each other.
That layering is what makes these kitchens interesting to work on and require the experience to do so. Framing changes between one section of the house and the next, mechanical runs take routes that made sense to whoever installed them, and what looks like a simple wall removal can turn out to be carrying load from an addition put on in the 1960s. We plan for that during design instead of finding it during demolition.
The newer neighborhoods that spread out toward Clock Tower Park and the lakes were built to late-century floor plans. They have the space, and they divide it badly. Formal dining rooms, closed kitchens, and heavy peninsulas were standard, and they are the first things homeowners want gone.

Design and selections typically run a couple of months before construction begins, and the build itself is three and a half to four months. Starting the conversation well ahead of when you want the kitchen finished gives you time to make decisions without pressure.

Our warranty covers workmanship on the remodel and is backed by a final walkthrough at the end of the project. Appliances, fixtures, and materials carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we make sure you have that documentation in your JobTread portal when we finish.
Do you do bathrooms and basements as well as kitchens?
