You approve the kitchen before we build it
Every project starts in Chief Architect and gets rendered in Twinmotion. You see 2D floor plans, 3D renderings, elevations, and electrical layouts of your finished Hartland kitchen while the drawings are still easy to change.
This is where we avoid expensive surprises. Appliance measurements and clearances, the depth of the island, whether the pendant lights land where you want them, and how the room reads when you walk in from the hall are all settled on screen. By the time demolition starts, there is very little left to decide.
What we run into in Hartland kitchens
Homes around Nixon Park and the older streets near the village center often have compartmented main floors, with the kitchen closed off from both the dining room and the living space. Opening them usually means a load-bearing wall and a beam, which we plan for in the design rather than uncovering during demolition.
Newer construction toward Hartbrook Park tends to have the square footage already, and the problem is how it is divided. A wide peninsula, a poorly placed pantry, or a desk nook nobody has used in fifteen years can be reworked into storage and prep space without expanding the footprint at all.

Brian works with demo and trade partners he has relied on for years. Three and a half to four month projects finish within four to five days of the original date, with no punch list left over, because problems get fixed as they come up rather than collected for the end. Workmanship carries a one-year warranty.

Our History in Hartland
Hartland sits on the Bark River at the eastern edge of Lake Country, and the village has two distinct eras of housing that each age differently.
The older core near the river and the village center holds homes from the early and middle twentieth century. These have character and solid framing, and they also have the small, closed kitchens that were standard when they were built. Remodeling them is mostly a question of removing walls carefully and finding storage where the original plan never put any.
The subdivisions that filled in from the 1980s onward are a different problem. The kitchens are big enough on paper, but the plans separate cooking from everything else, and they lean on features that have not aged well. Oversized peninsulas, soffits above the wall cabinets, built-in desk nooks, and formal dining rooms that go unused all take space away from the part of the kitchen people actually stand in.
Nixon Park sits at the middle of the village and the Bark River runs past it, which is roughly the dividing line between those two housing eras. Cross it in either direction and the kitchen problems change shape.
We work on both sides of it. Hartland is about fifteen minutes from our shop in Oconomowoc, close enough that Brian is in your house regularly rather than passing through.

Do you work in Hartland regularly?
Yes. Hartland is inside our core service area along with Oconomowoc, Delafield, Nashotah, Pewaukee, and the rest of Lake Country. We are based in Oconomowoc, which puts Hartland about fifteen minutes from our home base, so Brian is on site easily throughout the project.
What does the design process include?
You receive 2D floor plans, 3D renderings, elevations, and electrical layouts, all produced in house by Brian using Chief Architect and Twinmotion. The point is that you walk through the finished kitchen visually and approve it before any demolition happens, when changes still cost nothing.
Can you remove a soffit above my cabinets?
Usually yes, and it is one of the highest impact changes in an older Hartland kitchen. Soffits often hide ductwork, plumbing, or wiring that has to be rerouted first, so we confirm what is inside during design and account for the rerouting in the plan and the schedule.
Will I be able to use my kitchen during the remodel?
Not during the main construction phase. We help you set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house before demolition begins, and the schedule in your JobTread portal shows exactly which weeks the space is out of use so you can plan around it.
